Lesson 2

Hello Class!

Today is our second lesson in our exploration of Newgrange.

At the end of this lesson, you will understand some more about the layout of Newgrange and the way that it was built.

Group work:

In groups of three or four, you will have a look at the following PowerPoint on the layout and the chamber of Newgrange and discuss the questions in relation to it!

Now let us watch this video on Newgrange to find out about 'The Winter Solstice'! 

Group Work: 

In our groups from the beginning of the lesson, we will re-create a mini-Newgrange using play-dough and stones.

I will take pictures of your work and add them to our blog!
